Fra Star Wars Unlimited:
Padmé is all about revealing information upfront in key, strategic ways. While she’s not above utilizing a Plot card here and there herself, Padmé’s main focus is around the disclose mechanic; case in point, her leader ability lets her deal a point of damage whenever you reveal or discard a card from your hand, and since disclosing cards has you reveal them from your hand, the more you disclose, the more ground you will gain!
With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that many of the cards in Padmé’s deck let her either disclose or discard for some form of benefit. Mina Bonteri (Secrets of Power, 94) can provide a bit of healing while she’s in play, and upon her defeat, you can disclose two Command and one Heroism aspect to draw a card (and deal a point of damage, thanks to Padmé’s ability). Then there’s Captain Typho (Secrets of Power, 98), a stalwart Sentinel unit that allows you to disclose Command and Heroism for a small heal every time he is attacked. Since there’s nothing stopping you from disclosing the same cards over and over, you could potentially get multiple heals while Typho is in play! If Typho goes down, the Naboo Security Force (Secrets of Power, 120) or B2EMO (Secrets of Power, 248) can pick up the slack, granting Sentinel to a unit in exchange for disclosing an aspect or two, and if you need to attack fast, Ahsoka Tano (Secrets of Power, 96) lets you disclose Command and Heroism to swing with another unit right after she does. If you don’t have the right cards to disclose, the Furtive Handmaiden (Secrets of Power, 197) still lets you use Padmé’s ability while also helping you search for what you need. In a similar vein, Bail Organa (Secrets of Power, 198) can also trigger Padmé’s ability while giving you a Spy token to help build up your forces.
As a reminder, while Padmé is on her unit side, there is no limit to how many times she can deal damage with her ability, which means multiple disclosures and discards in the same phase can add up damage very fast. This is further compounded by cards like Charged with Corruption (Secrets of Power, 127) and Bog Down in Procedure (Secrets of Power, 234), which can remove key threats from play on top of the damage they let Padmé deal. And once you have a decent number of units in play, you can utilize With Thunderous Applause (Secrets of Power, 129) to boost them up and close out the game.
Speaking of boosting units, much of the rest of Padmé’s pre-built deck revolves around your units working together to achieve victory through cooperation. The Taylander Shuttle (Secrets of Power, 115) can create Spy tokens for you while you have the initiative, which gives you access to Official units that can boost up the Nubian Star Skiff (Secrets of Power, 116). C-3PO (Secrets of Power, 93) can return himself to your hand to grant another unit +2/+2 for the phase, which is a boost that units like the Bravo Squadron Fighter (Secrets of Power, 199) and Hunter (Secrets of Power, 208) can use to really punch through the enemy’s defenses. Jar Jar Binks (Secrets of Power, 111) can also grant +2/+2 to a unit for the phase, and his Plot keyword means he can be played at the same time as the Naboo Royal Starship (Secrets of Power, 99) the moment you decide to deploy Padmé to the field. The Royal Starship grants Padmé Raid 2 and Overwhelm, and when you combine that with a boost from Jar Jar or C-3PO, your opponent will not be able to ignore her for long. Even if your opponent manages to exhaust Padmé, Mon Mothma (Secrets of Power, 103) can let her attack anyways, and her solid HP means she can Dismantle the Conspiracy (Secrets of Power, 106) and guard several captured enemy units at once. Just having Padmé as your leader means that Anakin Skywalker (Secrets of Power, 201) gains Raid 2, and thanks to his Hidden keyword, you can take the time to equip him with Sneaking Suspicion (Secrets of Power, 226) for an extra boost to his stats. Finally, once you’ve got either Padmé or Anakin boosted up, grant them Moral Authority (Secrets of Power, 256) to capture a key threat and halt your opponent’s momentum!
